IC695NKT002

The IC695NKT002 is a PACSystem RX3i assembly of products or commonly called as kit. This is comprised of One (1) Ethernet NIU with catalog number IC695NIU001 and Two (2) Ethernet Interface Module with catalog number IC695ETM001. All modules that are part of this kit are manufactured by Emerson Automation, previously by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The IC695NKT002 assembly is used to allow PACSystem RX3i platform to communicate with Series 90-30 modules or VersaMax modules and controllers. This provides an alternative method of migrating to a newer controller platform without total replacement of the system - sometimes referred to a phased migration or partial migration. The main function of the IC695NIU001 is to provide provide connectivity to existing Series 90-30 I/O modules through the embedded Serial interface that supports RS232 and RS485 connection. These ports are compatible to be configured for Modbus RTU Slave, SNP, Serial I/O, Modbus RTU Master by application "C" block which are the communication protocols of the Legacy Series 90-30 to communicate to devices and I/O modules. The IC695ETM001 is utilized to communicate with other PACsystems, equipment, Series 90-30 and VersaMax controllers via the Ethernet communication interface. These port enables TCP/IP connection by using GE Fanuc SRTP and Ethernet Global Data (EGD) protocols over a four-layer TCP/IP stack. The components of the IC695NKT002 can be separately purchased.
