IC695RMX228

The IC695RMX228 memory module is a redundancy memory module that has been designed and included in the RX3i PacSystems series by GE Fanuc Automation. This specific module works as a reflective memory device and it can also be used as a link in a redundancy system. This module is identical to the IC695CMX128/228 modules. This module can be connected through a fiber-optic network and when it is used as a node on a reflective memory network, it has the ability to provide data sharing among different kinds of equipment and PLCs that are included in the network. This reflective memory network can have up to 256 nodes. The GE Fanuc Automation IC695RMX228 redundancy memory module is often used in hot standby CPU redundancy systems. This system consists of the connection between 2 CPUs where 1 of them works as the main CPU and the other one works as an identical backup device.

The GE Fanuc Automation IC695RMX228 redundancy memory module comes with indicators and a role switch. Through this role switch, the module can be used as the main module or as the backup module. If this module is being used as a link in a redundancy system, it cannot be used as a general-purpose memory exchange module. In a RX3i rack, up to 6 memory exchange modules like this one can be used. The GE Fanuc Automation IC695RMX228 redundancy memory module has a network error detection feature. The module operates with a user memory of 128 SDRAM and input current ratings of 580 and 220 milliamps at 3.3 and 5 Volts DC, respectively. This module comes with LC type connectors that are manufactured to be fiber-optic with a zirconium ceramic ferrule.
