The IC693ACC301 is a replacement battery, that is composed of Two (2) Lithium battery units in one package. These batteries are installed to retain the contents of the volatile memory or Random Access Memory (RAM) of the CPU. Only a single battery is needed by any Series 90-30 CPU.

This Lithium battery has an output voltage of 3VDC and capacity of 2000 mAh. It has a shelf life of 10 years and rated operating life of 1 year, depending on the CPU used and utilization of the IC693ACC301 battery.

The IC693ACC301 performs a critical role of maintaining the contents of the Random Access Memory (RAM) including the user program. This battery increases uptime and decreases the risk of unwanted stoppage of the controller and loss of user program. When battery charge is low, the CPU that hosts the power supply will trigger the BATT LED to activate. This LED activation indicates that installed battery will lose charge within a short period of time.

When installing this battery, ensure that the power supply is actively supplying providing power to the baseplate. Shutting down the power supply with the battery uninstalled, deletes the contents of the RAM. Similarly, when removing this the existing battery and installing the IC693ACC301 replacement battery, use an appropriate amount of force when removing and inserting the connector clip. Sudden movement and excessive force may damage nearby modules and may eventually lead to unplanned stoppage.

The IC693ACC301 must be operated at a temperature of 32 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit and stored to an environment with Temperature of -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit.
