The IC693ACC302 is an auxilliary battery pack that is mainly used to provided extended memory retention time to a variety of Series 90-30, Series 90-70 and even PACSystems controllers. This battery pack features capacity of 15.0 Ampere-hours, able to provide memory backup of up to 15 month when used with IC693 CPU374 controller and 75 months when used with IC693 CPUs from model 311 - 364 and all existing IC697 CPUs.

By maintaining the memory of the CPU, specifically the Random Access Memory (RAM), continued operation can be experienced even after a power cycle, maintenance shutdown even unplanned power outages as this auxiliary backup battery internally power the volatile memory by supplying the necessary low voltage level and prevent erasure of the contents of the memory.

The IC693ACC302 is made of black, flame retardant ABS plastic and supplied with a 2.0’ (0.6 meter) twisted red/black 24 AWG lead with female 2-pin connector that connects the battery to the module. It has a 7-year shelf life and ideally operated at a temperature range of 0-60 Degree Celsius.

For environmental compliance, a consumed IC693ACC302 requires safe disposal. Additionally, to identify the manufacturing information of the battery pack, the date code is provided for reference of battery disposal. Any unused battery pack that exceeded the shelf life of years must be disposed off immediately.

This battery is a panel mounted device and requires mounting to an enclosure using four #8-32 x ½” flat head machine screws. This battery pack must be mounted in reference to the location of the battery connector that vary in location according to the selected baseplate.

For most systems, the IC693ACC302 battery pack can provide up to 75 months of backup power and it provides the long-term reliability which is necessary for industrial systems that control complex application processes. The IC693ACC302 auxiliary battery pack comes with a 1-Amp fuse that serves as protection from short circuits or voltage overload situations. The IC693ACC302 battery is intended for use with power supply units and CPUs that carry the product codes IC693 and IC697. The battery pack case is made from black ABS plastic that is flame-retardant. The IC693ACC302 battery is connected with a 0.6-meter (2-inch) 24 AWG lead twisted wire with red and black colors. The wire comes with a female connector with 2 pins. The battery has a current capacity of 15 Amps per hour and it has an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The battery is mounted on a panel and it is 145.1 millimeters (5.7 inches) long, 65 millimeters (2.5 inches) wide, and 39.9 millimeters (1.5 inches) high.
