The GE Fanuc IC693BEM332 FIP I/O Interface Module acts as the master controller module in an industrial network featuring the Factory Instrumentation Protocol, and it also serves as the main communication gateway between the field devices and the programmable logic controller. Two Type D, 9-pin serial connectors are available on the front of the GE Fanuc IC693BEM332 FIP I/O Interface Module for supporting both the RS-482 and the RS-422 serial communication protocols.
