The GE Fanuc IC693BEM333 Remote FIP Interface Module makes it possible to connect a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to an industrial control network featuring the Factory Instrumentation Protocol (FIP). It comes from the factory with a data transmission speed of 1 MHz. The power supply connection for the GE Fanuc IC693BEM333 Remote FIP Interface Module is on the back of the device, and its installation process in a Series 90-30 PLC backplane is simple. The users simply have to insert the module in any available slot of the chassis except for Slot 1 which is reserved for CPU modules. There are 2 serial ports that are both D-type connectors and with 9 connection pins located on the front of the module where 4 status LEDs marked as CD1, TEN1, CD2, and TEN2 can also be found.
Process information from analog, discrete, and special field devices can be transmitted through a FIP bus and communicated to the main controller, which in this case is a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC, in order to monitor and control a wide variety of industrial processes and machinery. The GE Fanuc IC693BEM333 Remote FIP Interface Module is not compatible with RX3i systems. Built with open construction design, the GE Fanuc IC693BEM333 Remote FIP Interface Module is not suitable for working outdoors or in industrial environments with high levels of humidity, high temperatures and large quantities of dust or dirt.
