The IC693CBL304 cable is a port expansion (Wye) cable that has been manufactured by the GE Fanuc company. This specific cable has been created to be used specifically with the GE IC693PCM300 module from the same series (GE Series 90-30). Wye cables are used for splitting out 2 serial port connections from the single connection that comes embedded in the host IC693PCM300 module. This cable is included with the module, and it can also be ordered separately from the GE catalog. The GE Fanuc IC693CBL304 port expansion (Wye) cable is used to separate the RS-232 signals from the RS-485 signals. It also makes the Series 90/70 PCM fully compatible with the Series 90/30 PCM. This cable, like all the cables from the series, come with a continuous shielding.
