The GE Fanuc IC693CBL305 Wye Cable is a serial communication cable designed to physically separate the GE Series 90-30 communications coprocessor modules' combined serial ports into 2 ports known as Port 1 and Port 2 for ease of wiring. The IC693CBL305 Cable is also used to split out the 2 ADC port connections from the single connector on an ADC module. This cable is supplied with the GE Series 90-30 communications coprocessor modules. The IC693CBL305 Wye Cable is designed to offer physical distance between the serial ports, allowing for convenient space for wiring. The IC693CBL305 Wye Cable is compatible with the Series 90-30 CMM and PCM modules which have Port 1 and Port 2 configured by default as a single connector, and it helps to provide physical separation between these 2 port signals.



 



The IC693CBL305 Wye Cable has a maximum cable length of 30.5 centimeters (1 foot), and it has specially shaped connectors on both ends. On one end of the cable is a right-angle shaped connector that connects to the combined serial port of the communications coprocessor modules, and the other end of the cable has dual connectors labelled as the Port 1 and Port 2 connectors. Generally, the IC693CBL305 Wye Cable has a “Y” shape, because one end has a single right-angle connector and the other end is a dual connector. The GE Series 90-30 communication coprocessor modules supports RS-232 (Port 1) and RS-232 or RS-485 (Port 2) applications, and the IC693CBL305 Wye Cable helps to route the Port 1 RS-232 signals and the Port 2 RS-232/485 signals to the designated RS-232/RS-485 25-pin connectors.
