The IC930MDL240 is a discrete input module from the Series 90-30 product family. This module is formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation but recently acquired by Emerson Automation. This module is a general-purpose input module, occupying a single I/O slot of the CPU, I/O expansion or Remote I/O baseplate. The IC930MDL240 operates at input voltage range of 0-132 VAC with frequency of 50/60 Hz while the nominal voltage is 120 VAC and the nominal input current is 12 mA. This module can be used to detect change of state of binary operating field devices such as Switches, pushbuttons, auxiliary contacts and other similarly operating devices. The IC930MDL240 comes with a single group of input channels with isolation rating of 1500 VAC (rms) between field side and logic side. It has On state voltage range of 74-132 VAC and ON state current of 6 mA while the Off state voltage is 0-20 VAC and Off state current is 2.2 mA. Each channel has maximum On response time of 30 ms and maximum Off response time 45 ms. The module has current consumption of 90 mA @ 5VDC bus voltage. There is no limit to the number of installations of the IC930MDL240. Install as many as needed by the system. The only limitation is the host controller’s I/O capacity and the number of expansion or remote I/O baseplate it supports. Depending on the firmware version or the release of the host controller, the programming software used to configure the IC930MDL240 varies. Software packages that may be used to parameterize this module as LogicMaster 90-30, VersaPro or Proficy Machine Edition software packages.

The GE Fanuc, IC693MDL240 input module is manufactured as part of the Series 90-30 GE PLC product line. It has a voltage rating of 120 Volts AC, with 16 input points sharing one common power output terminal. The 16 circuits comprise a capacitor and a resistor and they are reactive inputs. When the current goes through the input point, the logic reading in the input status table is Logic 1 (%I). It features a functional input module that is compatible with a variety of input devices. For instance, the operators can use it with limit pushbuttons, switches, or electronic proximity switches. The GE Fanuc IC693MDL240 module can be used with field devices when the users provide the supply power to support them. The IC693MDL240 module requires AC power because it cannot run with a direct current. There are LED indicators on top of this module for displaying the ON and OFF status for each of the input points. The module also has 2 horizontal rows of the LEDs, and each row has 8 green LEDs. The first row of LEDs is labeled from A1 to A8 for output points 1 to 8, and the bottom row is marked B1 to B8 for points 9 to 16. The IC693MDL240 input module features a hinged door. There is also an insert that goes between the inside and outside door surfaces of the module. When this door closes, the inner surface has information on the circuit wiring. The inner surface records information on circuit identification. This module is a valuable addition to the GE Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller system, and the users can install it on any 5-slot or 10-slot I/O baseplate.
