The IC693MDL740 is a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module. This module is a Positive Logic Output module, specifically, sourcing current to the connected loads from the module common or positive power bus. It has Two (2) groups of Eight (8) channels each, with each channel rated at 0.5 Ampere load.

The IC693MDL740 has front panel LED indicators, located on top of the module. These LEDS individually represent the actuated state of each of the module’s channels as well as the operational state of the module. Being a sourcing output module, each channel of this module is capable of energizing common electrical loads such as contactors, relays, pilot lamps, buzzer, horn and other D24 VDC powered devices. This module does not come with internal fusing thus, to further protect the module, external fuses may be installed. The IC693MDL740 is installed to any available slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot Series 90-30 baseplate. As long the controller has the sufficient memory to accommodate this 16-point output module, the number of module instances varies.

The IC693MDL740 rated voltage is 12/24 volts DC with operating voltage range of 12 to 24 volts DC (+20%, –15%). The output characteristics of this module include an inrush current of 4.78 amps for 10 ms, maximum output voltage drop of 1 VDC, Off-state leakage current of 1 mA, ON response time of 2 ms, maximum and OFF response time of 2 ms, maximum. This module has a power consumption of 110 mA (all outputs on) from 5 volt bus on backplane.
