The IC693MDL740 is a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module. This module is a Positive Logic Output module, specifically, sourcing current to the connected loads from the module common or positive power bus. It has Two (2) groups of Eight (8) channels each, with each channel rated at 0.5 Ampere load.

The IC693MDL740 has front panel LED indicators, located on top of the module. These LEDS individually represent the actuated state of each of the module’s channels as well as the operational state of the module. Being a sourcing output module, each channel of this module is capable of energizing common electrical loads such as contactors, relays, pilot lamps, buzzer, horn and other D24 VDC powered devices. This module does not come with internal fusing thus, to further protect the module, external fuses may be installed. The IC693MDL740 is installed to any available slot of a 5-slot or 10-slot Series 90-30 baseplate. As long the controller has the sufficient memory to accommodate this 16-point output module, the number of module instances varies.

The IC693MDL740 rated voltage is 12/24 volts DC with operating voltage range of 12 to 24 volts DC (+20%, –15%). The output characteristics of this module include an inrush current of 4.78 amps for 10 ms, maximum output voltage drop of 1 VDC, Off-state leakage current of 1 mA, ON response time of 2 ms, maximum and OFF response time of 2 ms, maximum. This module has a power consumption of 110 mA (all outputs on) from 5 volt bus on backplane.

The IC693MDL740 module is a 12 to 24 Volts DC rated positive logic output module. There are 16 output points in 2 groups of 8 with a common power output terminal for each group. The IC693MDL740 module has positive logic characteristics acting as a current source to loads from user common and positive power bus. The output device is connected between the negative power bus and the module output. The IC693MDL740 module is compatible with multiple load devices, including solenoids and motor starters. The output voltage range for the module is 12 to 24 Volts DC. The maximum output current per module point is 0.5 Amps and the maximum output current per common is 2 Amps. The respective maximum on and off response times are 2 milliseconds. The rated inrush current for 10 milliseconds duration is 4.78 Amps.
