The IC693MDL916 is a relay output module that is part of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 Programmable Logic controller. This module is a single-slot width module that features Sixteen (16) individually isolated Form A or Normally Open (N.O.) contacts. Each contact output of this module has maximum output current rating of 4 Amperes and is operable with both AC and DC voltages specifically, 5-125 VDC / 5-250 VAC. The IC693MDL916 is a single slot module that mounts to a series 90-30 baseplate. It consumes a single slot of the and supports functioning as a local and distributed I/O component. Install as many IC693MDL916 modules as needed, limited only by the I/O capability, memory capacity, and available installation slots of the Series 90-30 system. Also, the IC693MDL916 may act as distributed I/O component of the modern PAC system RX3i and RX7i Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform. The IC693MDL916 has a backplane power consumption of 300 mA from the 5VDC backplane. It requires the use of a High-Density Terminal Block. With individually isolated contact outputs, maximum operation flexibility can be achieved as mixing of DC and AC signals is allowed. The maximum switching frequency of each contact output channel is 20 cycles per minute. Provided with the module are DIP switches that are used to configure the module’s reaction when the CPU transitions to Stop mode. In addition, the module’s default mode set via the DIP switch must be the similar to configuration created in the programming software. Compatible connectors for use with this module are IC694TBBx32 or IC694TBSx32.

The GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693MDL916 output module is a 16-point relay output module. It provides 16 Form A relays for controlling loads that are connected to the module outputs. The IC693MDL916 output module can be used with either GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLCs or with the GE PACSystems RX3i systems. The IC693MDL916 output module can be used with different terminal blocks, including extended spring-style, regular spring style, extended box style, and regular box style terminal blocks. The DIP switch on the back side of the IC693MDL916 output module can be used to change the default mode to the Hold Last State mode or to activate the Force OFF function to power the module down forcibly. The DIP switch configuration can be performed after the module is removed from the backplane. Individually numbered LEDs are provided on the front of the module to indicate status of the module outputs. The power consumption rating of the IC693MDL916 relay output module is 150 milliamps of current at 24 Volts DC from the backplane and it is 300 milliamps of current at 5 Volts DC from the backplane. The field to backplane isolation is 250 Volts AC continuous and 1550 Volts AC for 1 minute. The output current is a minimum of 10 milliamps per point, 4 Amps for 5 to 250 Volts AC, 4 Amps for 5 to 30 Volts DC, 200 milliamps for 125 Volts DC, 2 Amps of pilot duty per output, and 2 Amps of load per output. The maximum switching frequency is 20 cycles per minute. The DIP switch on the module determines the output operation for the stop mode on the CPU and it determines when the CPU is not able to communicate with the module. The default mode for the outputs that is set through the DIP switch must be the same as the default mode that is configured through the software configuration process.
