The IC697PWR720 is a Power Supply Adapter module (PSA) that is part of the Series 90-70 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Platform. This module is formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc however, with the recent acquisition by Emerson Automation, the entire product series and modern product series are now under Emerson Automation. The IC697PWR720 mounts to the Power Supply slot of the Series 90-70 baseplate. The primary purpose of this module is to deliver the necessary voltage and current to the backplane to energize the electronic circuitries of the modules mounted on the baseplate. This module delivers 18 Amperes at 5VDC; 2 Amperes at 12 VDC and 1 Ampere at -12 VDC to the backplane. This PSA module also facilitates implementation of dual rack operation wherein an extension rack is interconnected to the baseplate without installation of a dedicated power supply, sourcing power to the rack where the IC697PWR720 is installed. To implement this supported feature of the IC697PWR720, a power supply extension cable is needed with catalog number IC697CBL700. This module is also designed incompatibility with VME standard C.1 This power supply Adapter module connects to the external power supply to energize the circuitry of the module and operate. Compatible power supplies for this PSA are an IC697 power supply module or a 3rd party external power supply device. The external power supply used with this module must have a minimum hold-up time of 5.05 ms and an input Power OK signal (TTL signal) to implement proper and orderly shutdown of the system.
