AP-VMA1420-0

The Johnson Controls AP-VMA1420-0 module is a VMA or VAV Modular Assembly from the VMA 1400 series. It is designed as a cooling model VMA that has reheat and/or fan-powered options. The AP-VMA1420-0 VMA operates at a supply voltage rating of 20 Volts AC to 30 Volts AC at either 50 Hertz or 60 Hertz of frequency, and it consumes up to 10 VA of power (excluding both the relay and valve requirements). This VMA can support an optional 24 Volts AC fuse that operates with 2.0 A of rated current. The AP-VMA1420-0 VMA is engineered to function efficiently within ambient operating conditions that include a temperature range from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F). It can be stored safely in ambient storage conditions that include a temperature range from -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F). Its terminations are 6.3 mm (1/4 in.) spade lugs (except for the communications terminations, which employ screw terminals). The AP-VMA1420-0 VMA supports both N2 Bus and Zone Bus serial interfaces. The N2 controller addressing settings are set through a DIP switch to addresses from 1-253, and addresses 254 and 255 are reserved. Communications are supported by the N2 between the VMA and NCM/N30 (3-wire), while the Zone Bus links the VMA and room sensor with an 8-pin phone jack or a wire to spade lugs or to optional plug-on terminals. The AP-VMA1420-0 VMA's housing is made of plastic and has a UL 94-5VB Plenum Flammability Rating. Its dimensions measure 153 mm x 102 mm x 102 mm (6 x 4 x 4 in.). The AP-VMA1420-0 VMA’s minimum actuator torque rating is 4 Nm (35 lb. in), and it weighs 1.3 kg (2.8 lb).
