The MS-IOM4711-0 is a Metasys MS series 17 I/O point input-output control module (IOM) manufactured by Johnson Controls. Johnson Controls created the MS-IOM4711-0 input-output module (IOM), commonly used in varied applications. The module has a voltage rating of 24V AC, operates within a 20-30V AC range with 50/60 hertz, and has a maximum power consumption of 14 volt-amps (VA). It allows efficient operation, ensuring consistent performance. The module's communications bus is a 3-wire FC Bus, enabling seamless integration. Its powerful Renesas H8SX/166xR 32-bit microcontroller offers dependable and efficient processing. The module has 512 KB of flash memory for program storage and 128 KB of RAM for data storage, making it easy to use. It has 6 (six) universal inputs (UI), two binary inputs (BI), three binary outputs (BO), and four (four) customizable outputs (CO) for system configuration flexibility. It also features two analog outputs (AO) for fine control. This control module has a UI with a voltage range of 0 to 10VDC, a BO with a voltage of 24VAC, a CO with the same voltages as the BO and UI, and an AO with the same voltage range as the UI. Regarding the current at the point, the AO and the UI can have currents between 4 and 20mA. The resistance of the UI could be anywhere from 0 to 600 kilo-ohms. The module has fixed screw terminal blocks for easy input and output connections and communicates with the SA/FC Bus port via RJ-12 6-pin modular jacks. A self-extinguishing enclosure constructed of ABS and polycarbonate UL94 5VB materials provides durability and safety. It usually functions in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and features a noncondensing humidity range of 5 to 95%, making it a compact module for integration into diverse systems.
