The MS-NCE2560-0 is a Johnson Controls NCE25 series NCE or network control engine. It supports the integration of peripheral devices, such as air handlers, with existing Johnson Controls Metasys networks. The MS-NCE2560-0 network control engine combines network connectivity and network supervisor capabilities with digital control capabilities. It supports 33 integrated I/O points and an SA or Sensor/Actuator bus. These features allow the integration of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and network sensors from the NS series into an operator’s NCE application. The power supply voltage range for the MS-NCE2560-0 network control engine is 20 to 30 Volts AC, and the dedicated nominal voltage rating is 24 Volts AC. The MS-NCE2560-0 can use a Class 2 power supply or SELV power supply. The maximum power consumption rating for the MS-NCE2560-0 network control engine on its own is 25 VA. The recommended ambient conditions for ideal operation include an operating temperature range of 0 to +50 degrees Celsius, 10% to 90% non-condensing relative humidity, and a 30 degrees Celsius-rated maximum dew point. The recommended conditions for device storage include a storage temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius, 5 to 95% non-condensing relative humidity, and a 30 degrees Celsius-rated maximum dew point. A data protection battery on the unit provides data protection during power failures. This battery is rechargeable, its voltage rating is 3.6 Volts DC, and its power supply rating is 500 mAh. The typical life of the battery is 5 to 7 years at 21 degrees Celsius. The MS-NCE2560-0 network control engine features a 192 MHz Renesas SH4 7760 RISC processor for supervisory control. It also includes 128 MB of memory for the configuration data, operating system storage, operations data storage, and backup. In addition, 128 MB of SDRAM is available for data dynamic memory.
