Johnson Controls manufactured the TL-MAP1810-0S as a mobile access portal (MAP) gateway. This MAP is utilized wirelessly and conveniently to control and regulate TEC3000 series thermostats, MetasysField controllers, FX field controllers, CH field controllers, and smart equipment rooftop units (RTUs). Users can access and manage these devices using the web server facility on their smartphone, tablet, or computer. This system consists of the MAP gateway, a mounting bracket, an AC power supply, and a field bus converter in its fixed configuration. The device draws a maximum of 2.7 VA (volt-ampere) at 15 volts DC from the SA/FC bus, which serves as its power source. It can survive temperatures from -30 to 60 degrees Centigrade, but it cannot function in temperatures as low as -40°C and as high as 70°C. It may be stored between 5 and 95% relative humidity with a maximum dew point temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. The MAP gateway employs 802.11 b/g/n wireless technology, which contributes to transmission rates of 11/22/54 Mbps for wireless communication in the 2.4 GHz (gigahertz) ISM bands. It has transmission ranges of up to 30 meters (100 feet) indoors and 91 meters (300 feet) outdoors. In addition, the device is equipped with an Ethernet connector, a USB port that adheres to the open HCI standard, and a SA/FC port for serial communication. Due to its compact size, wireless connection, and broad compatibility, the TL-MAP1810-0S is an indispensable tool for remote access and control of a multitude of field controllers and devices within the supported range.
