The V248GD1-001C valve from Johnson Controls is an effective solution for high-pressure refrigeration systems. This pressure-actuated water regulating valve is designed to accurately control refrigerant head pressure while employing a sophisticated 3-way modulation system between the condenser and bypass line. Weighing 12.0 lbs, its 1-inch size makes it a compact component for various setups.

Constructed from resilient cast iron, the body is equipped with a rust-resisting finish that promotes longevity. The seat material, aluminum bronze, enhances performance and corrosion resistance, ensuring reliability over time. The valve features NPT screw end connections as well as a pressure connection style classified as Style 5, accommodating a 1/4-inch male flare with a 7/16-20 UNF thread.

The opening point can be adjusted within a range of 200 to 400 psi, while the factory-set opening point is fixed at 275 psi (19.0 bar). A throttling range of 100 psi (6.9 bar) allows fine-tuning for precise control. This valve can handle a maximum working pressure of 630 psi (43.4 bar) and a media maximum pressure rating of 150 psi (10.3 bar). The operational fluid temperature for this valve ranges from a minimum of -20 °C to a maximum of 77 °C, making it suitable for various refrigeration applications.
