The Johnson Controls V47AR-1 valve is constructed to regulate water temperature accurately in various applications. This temperature-actuated water-regulating valve is fitted for pipe sizes measuring 1-1/2 inches and features an ASME flange connection for installation ease. At a weight of 16 lbs, the valve combines solid performance with manageable installation weight.

Built from a copper alloy known as bronze, this valve includes lead and is engineered to withstand operational stress. A key benefit is its direct-acting design, which results in the valve opening as the temperature at the sensing bulb increases. This ensures responsive operation for temperature variations.

The valve efficiently manages a temperature range from 24°C to 57°C, equivalent to a bulb's opening point of 75°F to 135°F. Additionally, the maximum bulb temperature that can be tolerated is 20°F (11°C) above the specified operating range, enhancing its operational flexibility. For water handling, the maximum temperature the valve can accommodate is 77°C (170°F), while it supports a maximum supply water pressure of 150 psig (1,034 kPa).

The capillary component of this model is nylon-armored and 6 feet in length (Style 4), designed for durability and reliability in field settings. The bulb itself measures 11/16 inch in diameter and is 16-1/4 inches long, ensuring effective thermal response.
