It features an immersion style bulb, specifically the Style 4, with a diameter measuring 11/16 inches and a notable length of 16-1/4 inches. The appropriate pipe size for installation is 1-1/2 inches, ensuring compatibility through ASME flanged connections.

Operationally, the valve has an opening point temperature range between 24°C and 57°C cross ambient, while capable of withstanding a maximum bulb temperature of 11°C above the specified range. The maximum temperature for water flowing through the valve is 77°C, and it can tolerate supply pressures of up to 150 psig (1,034 kPa).

For added durability and reliability, the valve includes 6 feet of nylon-armored capillary tubing to protect the sensing element. Users may find the STT17A-610R seat repair kit useful for maintenance, alongside the SET29A-605R replacement sensing element when needed.
