The Mitsubishi AI61 Interrupt Module was developed to reduce the amount of time needed for response times during the processing of interrupts in automation and control systems. It provides a solution that is both compact and lightweight, measuring 1.5 inches by 9.8 inches by 4.8 inches and weighing 0.4 kilograms. The module offers a rated input voltage of 12/24 VDC and a rated input current of 6/14 mA. It also has 16 interruption inputs, each of which uses a photocoupler insulation mechanism with a quick response time of 0.2 milliseconds for switching from an OFF state to an ON state and vice versa. The AI61 module guarantees effective processing of interruptions. It enables up to 16 points per common and necessitates using 32 I/O points for implementation. An in-depth analysis of the process and task characteristics is carried out to ensure optimal control and coordination between the controlled item and the PLC control system. Based on this study, the input and output devices that are required to guarantee that the AI61 satisfies the criteria of the system have been determined. The module provides thermocouple inputs on a total of 16 channels and includes a 38-point terminal station.
