The Mitsubishi FX2N16EYESSUL serves as an extension block specifically for output functionalities within the FX Series. This model is engineered with 16 channels that employ a transistor-based configuration, allowing it to sink current effectively.

Operating within an external input voltage range of 20.4V to 26.4V DC, this extension block handles a maximum resistive load of 0.1A per point and 0.8A when summed across the common terminals. Switching delays are efficient, with the ON state reaching a maximum of 0.5 milliseconds, while the OFF state can switch with a delay of up to 1.5 milliseconds.

Photocoupler isolation is the primary method, ensuring distinct separation between control and output signals. The leakage current is minimal, estimated at a maximum of 0.1 mA in the open state at 26.4V. Each output's activity is easily monitored through individual LED indicators designed to provide instant feedback on operational status.

The unit operates effectively within a temperature spectrum from 0°C to 55°C, and its storage temperature capabilities range from -25°C to 75°C, making it quite versatile for different environmental conditions. This extension block is built to withstand relative humidity levels from 5% to 95% without condensation.

In terms of durability, it offers vibration endurance across multiple frequencies, with specifications indicating resilience against vibrations from 10 Hz to 57 Hz at 0.035 mm and impacts from 57 Hz to 150 Hz at 4.9 m/s². The shock endurance is also rated at 147 m/s² (15G), maintaining reliable performance under significant stress with three pulses in each directional axis.
