The Mitsubishi FX3U-ETHERNET-ADP is an Ethernet communication adapter that facilitates networking for the FX Series programmable logic controller. This adapter ensures a power supply requirement of 30 mA at 5V DC, internally sourced from the main PLC. Supporting transmission rates of 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps, the adapter operates in both full-duplex and half-duplex modes for data exchange.

Equipped with an RJ45 connection interface, the FX3U-ETHERNET-ADP can manage a maximum segment length of 100 meters, or 328 feet. The device supports TCP/IP and UDP/IP protocols to ensure robust communication capabilities. For cascading connections, it can support up to 4 stages when using 10BASE-T configurations with a repeater hub, and up to 2 stages with a 100BASE-TX connection.

Built to withstand electrical stresses, this adapter can manage a withstand voltage of 500V AC for one minute, and it offers insulation resistance of 5 MΩ or greater at 500V DC. The device allows simultaneous connections for up to 4 units, utilizing MELSOFT, MC Protocol, and monitoring features. Data transmission is performed in baseband. Only one FX3U-ETHERNET-ADP unit can be connected to the main PLC, but it is compatible with various devices, including PCs and other FX3U Ethernet modules.
