The Mitsubishi Q170MCPU functions as an advanced motion controller in the Melsec-Q series. This unit has been engineered to be compatible with the Q173DCPU and Q172DCPU, enhancing its versatility for various applications. It features a built-in power supply operating at 24VDC, but users can alternatively employ a power supply module that supports 24VDC, 100VAC, or 200VAC to meet diverse installation requirements.

The controller provides a PLC CPU area equivalent to the Q03UDCPU, facilitating a program capacity ranging from 20,000 steps to a maximum of 260,000 steps. The LD instruction processing speed achieves a quick response time of 0.02µs, with the potential for an even faster speed of 0.0095µs under optimal conditions. The motion CPU area within its architecture corresponds with the Q172DCPU, enabling control of up to 16 axes.

Users can implement forced stop input using the designated terminal to enhance operational safety. Notably, this model does not integrate a main base unit. However, it supports one extension base unit, allowing compatibility with either the Q52B or Q55B units and accommodating up to seven extensions. The Q170MCPU is suitable for precise motion control applications within a flexible and expandable system.
