The Q64AD module from Mitsubishi's Melsec-Q series serves as a 4-channel analog input solution for automation applications. It provides four distinct analog input channels, allowing for comprehensive data acquisition and monitoring. Each channel is capable of accepting input voltages from –10 to 10 V DC, supported by an input resistance of 1MΩ. For current readings, it accommodates an input current range from 0 to 20 mA DC with a low input resistance of 250Ω.

The conversion speed for this module is efficient, at 80 microseconds for each channel, enhancing real-time processing capabilities. Users will find the digital output format particularly useful, with a 16-bit signed binary representation that can switch between normal and high-resolution settings. In normal mode, the digital output ranges from –4096 to 4095. High-resolution output capabilities expand this range to either –12288 to 12287 or –16384 to 16383 depending on configuration.

For maximum input tolerances, the Q64AD can safely handle voltage inputs up to ±15 V and current levels as high as ±30 mA. A reliable E2PROM is integrated, with a write limit of approximately 100,000 cycles, ensuring enduring performance. The module occupies 16 I/O points within a control system, efficiently managing space while delivering results. Power consumption for the module is minimal at 0.63 A from a 5 V DC supply, and it operates effectively in a temperature range of 0 to 55°C, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments.
