Part number MR-J2S-60A is a servo drive designed for precise motion control applications and driving electric motors. This device has been designed and manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric. It operates on a power supply of 3-phase 200-230V AC, 50/60 Hz, or 1-phase 230V AC, 50/60 Hz. The permissible voltage fluctuation is between 170-253V AC for 3-phase operation. In addition to its power ratings, the control system uses Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and current control to achieve accurate and smooth motion. The servo drive also features a built-in dynamic brake for quick-stopping capability. Aside from that, the speed frequency response of the MR-J2S-60A is an impressive 550 Hz or more, enabling rapid speed changes. In position control mode, it can process up to 500 kpps with a differential receiver or 200 kpps with an open collector for maximum input pulse frequency. At the same time, positioning feedback is achieved through an encoder, providing a high resolution of 131072 pulses per revolution of the servo motor. The positioning complete width can be set within the range of 0 - ±10V DC. For torque control, the servo drive accepts torque command inputs in the range of 0-±8V DC, with a maximum torque capacity. The torque limit can be set by parameters or an external analog input in the range of 0-±10V DC. In addition, the MR-J2S-60A is self-cooling and has an open (IP00) structure. This means it does not offer protection against dust or water ingress, making it suitable for use in controlled environments.
