Omron's C200HW-COM04-EV1 board is a communications board designed for applications in a variety of Omron C200H programmable controller systems. It supports the RS-232C protocol through its RS-232C port, also known as Port A. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board can connect a SYSMAC Link Unit to an Omron C200HG/HE/HX programmable controller. It supports a variety of Omron Bus connectors for hosting different SYSMAC units and PC card units. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board was designed and manufactured by Omron as a Bulletin C200H communications board. It is compatible with Omron programmable controllers from the Bulletin C200HE, C200HG, and C200HX series. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board was designed to be connected to the CPU module when it is installed in an Omron Bulletin C200HE, C200HG, or C200HX programmable controller. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board allows Omron PC card units and Omron SYSMAC Link units to be connected to a CPU. This communications board also supports a variety of Omron bus connectors that allow it to connect different Link units and PC card units to the CPU. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board can use a C200HW-CE001 bus connector to support 1 SYSMAC Link unit, it can use a C200HW-CE002 bus connector to support 2 SYSMAC Link units or 1 SYSMAC Link unit and 1 SYSMAC NET Link unit, and it can use a C200HW-CE012 bus connect to support 1 SYSMAC Link unit and 1 PC Card unit for a C200HE, C200HG, or C200HX programmable controller system. No SYSMAC Link units can be connected to the C200HE, C200HG, or C200HX programmable controller system CPUs without the C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board has 2 ports on its front panel. One port an RS-232C port that is known as Port A, and the other port is a communications unit connection port. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board also has 2 LED indicators on its front panel, and these are the “RDY” and “COMA” indicators. The C200HW-COM04-EV1 communications board can support RS-422A/485 2-wire and 4-wire communications connections through its RS-232C port if NT-AL001-E Link adapters are installed in the system.
