For data transmission, it supports multiple baud rates: 500 kbp, 250 kbps, and 125 kbps, effectively addressing diverse application demands. The choice of communications media includes specialized 5-wire cables, which consist of two signal lines, two power lines, and one shield line, as well as 4-wire flat cables with similar arrangements. Network length capabilities differ based on the cable type used. For instance, with 5-wire cables, the maximum lengths are 100m at 500 kbps, 250m at 250 kbps, and 500m at 125 kbps. In contrast, 4-wire flat cables support lengths up to 75m, 150m, and 265m for the same baud rates, respectively.

An additional specification involves branch line length, which cannot exceed 6 meters for effective communication. Each C500-DRM21-V1 unit requires an external 24 VDC power supply to ensure operational efficiency. In total, this device can support a maximum of 64 nodes in a network configuration, which includes various device types such as masters, slaves, and configurators.
