Omron's model C500-OA121 is a sturdy TRIAC output unit designed for reliable control of electrical loads. It boasts an impressive maximum switching capacity of 1 amp at 132 volts alternating current, making it useful for various applications operating at 50 or 60 Hz. Additionally, this unit can handle up to 4 amps per common circuit and a total of 5 amps across the entire unit.

For smaller loads, the minimum switching requirements include 10 mA for resistive loads and 40 mA for inductive ones, with a minimal operating voltage of 10 VAC. Leakage current is limited to a maximum of 3 mA at 100 VAC, ensuring efficient operation. The residual voltage is maintained at or below 1.2 V.

In terms of response times, the ON time does not exceed 1 ms, while the OFF time is determined by half of the load frequency. This unit accommodates 16 points, split between 8 points for each common, across 2 separate circuits. Running on a modest internal current consumption rate of 300 mA at 5 VDC, it remains efficient in performance.

Fusing capabilities include two fuses rated at 5 A and 250 V, providing additional safety. The C500-OA121 comes in an A-shaped design, weighing only 0.5 kg, making it convenient to integrate into existing setups.
