CJ1W-CLK23

The Omron CJ1W-CLK23 is a Controller Link Unit designed for the CJ I/O Bus system. This compact and lightweight module serves as a CPU Bus Unit Expansion, enabling seamless communication within the CJ system. The CJ1W-CLK23 module acts as an IO link master, featuring one communication port that operates using the Controller Link protocol. The module uses wired communication through a shielded twisted-pair cable, employing the N:N token-bus method. Data transmission follows Manchester code modulation, while synchronization is achieved through flag synchronization conforming to HDLC frames. The transmission path format adopts a multidrop method (bus type), and the module supports different transmission speeds, such as 2 Mbits/s for a transmission distance of up to 500 m, 1 Mbits/s for 800 m, and 500 kbits/s for up to 1 km. The CJ1W-CLK23 utilizes a specified shielded twist-pair cable with two signal wires and one shield, and it connects to the computer using a special (supplied) connector. The module supports a maximum of 12,000 data link words for Pre-Ver. 1.2 and 20,000 words for unit Ver. 1.2 or later, with a total of 62,000 words for the entire network. The CJ1W-CLK23 comes with various functions, including echoback test and broadcast test using the FINS command, watchdog timer, and error log function, ensuring reliable and robust performance. The module also implements CRC check (CCITT X16 +X12 +X5 +1) for error control, further enhancing data integrity and accuracy. With its compact dimensions of 90mm height, 31mm width, and 82mm depth, and a weight of only 110g, the CJ1W-CLK23 provides an efficient and space-saving solution for Controller Link communications in Omron CJ-series automation systems.
