CJ1W-MAD42

The Omron CJ1W-MAD42 I/O module is an analog I/O unit from the Omron CJ series special I/O unit product line. This unit features photocoupler-based isolation between its I/O and internal signals (there is no isolation between the I/O signals). The CJ1W-MAD42 unit's external connection terminal is an 18-point detachable terminal block that uses M3 screws for ensuring secure connections. It operates with a maximum current consumption rating of 580 mA at 5 V DC. The CJ1W-MAD42 has compact dimensions of 31 × 90 × 65 mm, and a weight of 150 g maximum. It meets most of the general specifications of the Omron NJ series and can be mounted in an NJ series CPU rack or Expansion rack. The CJ1W-MAD42 unit offers a variety of supported functions, including the input disconnection detection, peak value hold, output hold, mean value processing, proportional conversion, offset and gain adjustment, and scaling functions. It provides 4 analog inputs that support input signal types ranging from -10 to 10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts, 1 to 5 Volts, and 4 to 20 milliamps. The maximum rated input for voltage input signals is +/-15 V, and for current input signals, it is +/-30 mA. The CJ1W-MAD42 module’s input impedance rating is 1 Megohm minimum with voltage input and 250 ohms (rated value) with current input. The CJ1W-MAD42 also incorporates 2 analog outputs that support output signal ranges of -10 to 10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts, 1 to 5 Volts, and 4 to 20 milliamps. The output impedance rating is 0.5 ohms maximum for voltage output, and the maximum external output current rating is 2.4 mA for 1 voltage output.
