Omron's NS-CA001 functions as an RGB and video input unit that facilitates various display options for video content. It accommodates a maximum of four video input ports while lacking an analog RGB input port. The configuration is optimized for fixed display sizes, which include 800 × 600 dots, 640 × 480 dots, and 320 × 240 dots.

Users can effectively utilize split-screen video display functionality, enabling the presentation of up to four screens simultaneously. However, it should be noted that video overlap is not an available feature; video output is restricted to the top layer of the visual interface.

The unit includes one console output port but does not permit the pressing and holding of console buttons, with the external output signal deactivating automatically even when a command is maintained. Video capture capabilities are incorporated into this device, allowing for the recording and saving of video inputs. Display control for RGB and video visuals is not supported, reinforcing the unit's streamlined functionality in handling video inputs without additional controls.
