Omron's NS-CA002 is a versatile RGB and video input unit. It is designed with two dedicated video input ports, one analog RGB port, and a console output option. The device allows users to configure video displays with a maximum size of 640 x 480 dots. However, it does not support split-screen capabilities.
Notably, the unit permits video picture overlap, facilitating functionality where pop-up screens and other visual elements can be layered over video outputs. In contrast, while RGB displays maintain fixed sizes at 1024 x 768 dots, 800 x 600 dots, or 640 x 480 dots, they do not allow for picture overlap; the RGB output remains as the topmost layer. Additionally, the RGB and video displays cannot function simultaneously.
The NS-CA002 supports console button press and hold functionality, which keeps the external output signal active as long as the associated button or Multifunction Object is engaged. This characteristic enhances user interaction, particularly in scenarios requiring sustained activation. Furthermore, the unit facilitates video capture capabilities, while it does not support frame display functionality—consistent with its design, which prioritizes RGB output visibility as the foremost display element.
