Omron's ZEN-ME01 is a memory cassette catering to the ZEN Series of products. It supports data transfer from the ZEN unit to memory when a display is present. However, data transfer from ZEN to memory is not possible without a display. Conversely, transferring data from memory to the ZEN unit can occur both with an active display and automatically upon powering on when there is no display.

For initialization purposes, the ZEN-ME01 can be initialized when a display is connected, but this process is unsupported without a display. This memory cassette has a compact form factor with dimensions measuring 2.76 inches in width and 3.54 inches in height (70 × 90 mm). The device is capable of accommodating a maximum of 44 I/O points, facilitated by the use of 20 I/O CPU units.

Regarding power requirements, the ZEN-ME01 is adaptable, accepting supply voltages of either 100-240 VAC or 12-24 VDC. This allows for diverse implementation scenarios across different setups.
