The 490NAD91104 from Schneider Electric serves as an in-line connector for Profibus DP networks, featuring a compact 9-pin male SUB-D elbowed configuration. This connector complies with RS-485 differential signaling, providing galvanic isolation for enhanced robustness in signal transmission. Designed for high-speed communication, it can achieve a maximum data throughput of 12 Mbps, though it is configurable down to 9.6 kbps to suit various application needs.

This model is specifically compatible with several systems, including Motion Momentum Automation, Preventa Safety programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and Lexiun 15 Motion Control setups. Within a single segment, the connector can facilitate connections for up to 32 nodes, or up to 127 nodes when repeaters are incorporated into the network architecture. Each segment can extend up to 100 meters at the 12 Mbps speed, making it effective for a wide range of installations. External terminators are required at each end of the segment to ensure proper network functionality.

For cabling, it is compatible with the TSX PBS CA Series, which includes both 100m and 400m shielded cables designed for Profibus DP applications. This versatility allows for flexible and efficient integration into established systems.
