TM2DDI8DT

The TM2DDI8DT is a discrete input module from Schneider Electric’s Modicon series. It incorporates eight discrete inputs, each designed to accept a nominal voltage of 24 V DC, allowing for a voltage input range of 20.4 to 28.8 V. Each input channel can operate in either sink or source logic, depending on the system requirements. The module is capable of handling an input current of 7 mA across each discrete input. An input impedance level of 3.4 kOhm is maintained to ensure proper signal interpretation.

This module supports a common point for the inputs, while the response time for detected changes is set at a rapid 4 milliseconds, allowing quick system reactions. Notably, the module does not provide any isolation between the discrete input channels, although it does maintain a robust isolation level of 500 V for one minute between the channels and its internal logic.

For power handling capabilities, the TM2DDI8DT operates with a current draw of 25 mA when powered at 5 V DC. Local signaling is facilitated by a single display block, which provides immediate visual feedback regarding input statuses. Electrical connections are handled through a removable screw terminal block, simplifying installation and maintenance. The module is designed for mounting on a 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, allowing for versatile installation within control cabinets.
