Designed as a temperature and humidity sensor, the Schneider Electric MN-S4HT-500 offers reliable environmental monitoring with a primary focus on performance. It is suitable for various applications with an operating temperature range extending from 0 to 50 °C. The unit can withstand storage temperatures from -40 to 71 °C, making it robust for diverse settings.

For humidity detection, the sensor encompasses a thermoset polymer capacitive type, providing substantial accuracy of ±2% RH at a temperature of 25°C. To ensure precise measurements, this device has a hysteresis of ±1.2% RH maximum. The temperature is monitored using a precision thermistor that also operates within the same temperature parameters (0 to 50 °C).

The MN-S4HT-500 is outfitted with a NEMA 1 rated enclosure, providing suitable protection for interior installations. Connecting this sensor is facilitated by four screw terminals capable of handling AWG #18-24 wires, making installation straightforward. It communicates via the S-Link Protocol, which is designed for 2-wire, unshielded, non-polarity sensitive connections, and supports maximum wiring distances of up to 61 m.

Multiple mounting options enhance versatility: direct-wall mounting, 2x4 electrical box mounting, 1/4 DIN electrical box mounting, or surface box mounting. These options allow for flexibility in installation, catering to different application needs.
