Siemens has developed the Sinamics S110 Faults and Alarms device as a reliable servo drive that offers enhanced functionality for automation systems. With a comprehensive line voltage range from 200 to 480 volts AC, this device is designed to integrate seamlessly into diverse environments. The unit is powered by a 24 V DC control supply voltage and can function properly while accommodating variations of ±20%.

The S110 drive features a protection class of IPXXB and is classified as an open type according to UL standards. This design allows for efficient operation under various conditions. The line frequency ranges from 47 to 63 Hz, ensuring compatibility with a wide array of electrical systems. For effective heat management, its internal forced air cooling system operates efficiently, supporting a cooling air temperature limit of up to +60 °C.

When in operation, the S110 can reach output voltages of up to 95% of the incoming line voltage. The short-circuit current rating (SCCR) meets UL508C standards at 65 kA, further enhancing its reliability. It remains effective at altitudes of up to 1000 meters without derating, although a –3.5 K derating per additional 500 meters applies beyond that height.

This drive accommodates various motor types, including synchronous and induction motors, and operates at a standard pulse frequency of 4 kHz, scaling up to a maximum of 16 kHz for specific applications. Control and configuration of the drive are managed using the STARTER tool, providing a user-friendly interface and allowing for easy adjustments.
