Node addresses are established through DIP switches located on the 1771-SDN module for straightforward configuration. The scanner module interacts with two primary assemblies: the producing assembly, known as PPA, which relays the drive status, and the consuming assembly, referred to as PCA, responsible for drive control commands.

In terms of setup, scan lists can be configured using certain software or directly through the 1771-SDN. The scanner manages inputs effectively through an Accept Command that applies configurations to active memory, while settings can be permanently saved to EEPROM using the Enter Command.

In application scenarios, the GPD-333 operates as a slave drive, while the 1771-SDN serves as the master scanner.
