Yaskawa's GPD-333 Device-Net-Network Wiring serves as the foundational conduit for AC drive connectivity in DeviceNet systems. The wiring system is constructed using shielded twisted pair (Type 5) cables, ensuring minimized interference and enhanced signal integrity. At either end of the trunk, 120 Ω resistors are employed to facilitate proper termination, playing a crucial role in maintaining signal fidelity throughout the network.

Organized in a daisy chain configuration, this setup includes short spur connections, allowing for versatile configurations within the system. The trunk cable is sized at 18 AWG, providing substantial conductivity over distances, while spur connections utilize 20 AWG cables, ensuring efficient performance. With a maximum trunk length capability of 500 meters running at 125 kbps, this wiring supports extensive network layouts. Each device spur, however, is limited to a maximum length of 1 meter.

The system also includes selectable baud rates of 125, 250, or 500 kbps, enabling flexibility to meet various application requirements. Powered by a 24 VDC supply from the network, this wiring is equipped with 5-pin open-style or mini DIN connectors for easy integration. Notably, LED indicators are included, providing real-time monitoring of master/slave status and diagnostics, which aids in system maintenance. Node addresses can be conveniently configured through DIP switches, streamlining setup processes.
