The Allen-Bradley 1305-AA04A is an easy-to-use, high-performance variable speed drive with 200-240V AC single-phase voltage rating and a 200-230V AC 3-phase voltage rating. It features fast acceleration times which translate to more cycles per minute and result in increased production. Its standard SCANport connector can link to several communication devices and it is designed for direct connection to an AC power line. The microprocessor-controlled 1305-AA04A Drive is designed for reliable control of AC induction motors. It is part of the Bulletin 1305 Series of adjustable frequency AC drives. The 1305-AA04A produces a PWM adjustable frequency output that varies according to the motor parameters for optimal motor performance. At 3-phase input, the drive has a motor rating of 0.75 kW (1 HP) and an output current rating of 4.5A. When operating with single-phase input, it has a motor rating of 0.55 kW (0.75 HP) and an output current rating of 3A. The 1305-AA04A has a standard English language code. It has been proven to be ideal when used in a range of industries from consumer goods, metals, petrochemical and mining, pulp and paper, and transportation applications. The 1305-AA04A is widely used in high-speed conveyors, monorail installations, food processing and packaging, and grinders.

The 1305-AA04A is an Adjustable Frequency AC drive from Allen-Bradley. This drive is part of the 1305 series which implements speed control using the configurable Volts / Hertz (V/Hz) control method. This drive supports single phase or three-phase input voltage, and delivers different set of output in reference to the input voltage phase.

Specifically, the 1305-AA04A delivers an output voltage of 0-230 Volts AC, 3-Phase towards the partner motor. The output power for 1-Phase input is 0.75 Horsepower or 0.55 Kilowatts and output current of 3 Amperes. For 3-Phase input, the output power is 1 Horsepower or 0.75 Kilowatts while the output current is 4.5 Amperes. The output frequency is 0-400 Hertz, fully programmable, regardless of the input voltage phase.

The 1305-AA04A comes with an IP30 (NEMA 1) enclosure. It uses a natural convection method for drive cooling which means the required installation spacing must be followed for proper flow of air. It requires an ambient temperature of 0-50 degrees Celsius for IP30 enclosure and 0-40 degrees Celsius for optional enclosures. It has an operating altitude of 1000 meters or 3300 feet with 6% deration of rated output current at every 1000 meters of additional altitude.

The 1305-AA04A control inputs include Start ,Stop, Forward/Reverse, Jog, Interlock enable, and configurable switches such as SW1, SW2, and SW3. It also has two (2) analog inputs, one (1) supporting 4-20 mA and one (1) supporting 0-10 Volts DC. Alternatively, an external potentiometer with 10k Ohms, 1 Watt power dissipation.

The 1305-AA04A control output includes one (1) Form A relay contact and one (1) programmable output. It also has one (1) analog output that delivers 0-10 Volts DC output.
