The 1305-AA12-HA1 drive that is manufactured by Rockwell Automation under its Allen-Bradley brand name is an AC-powered adjustable frequency drive. It can function with single-phase or 3-phase AC power. In single-phase power, the 1305-AA12-HA1 drive operates at 200 to 240 Volts AC voltage, and in 3-phase power, it operates at 200 to 230 Volts AC voltage. This drive comes with an HMI or a human-machine interface that is known as an HA1 HMI, as indicated by the last 3 digits in the catalog part number. An HA1 HMI is an interface that comes with an analog speed pot. With that analog speed pot, the 1305-AA12-HA1 drive’s dimensions are 210 x 195 x 184 millimeters. Without the speed pot, the dimensions are 210 x 195 x 179 millimeters.
The Allen-Bradley 1305-AA12-HA1 adjustable frequency AC drive needs to be installed with clearances around it. These clearances will ensure that the drive has enough ventilation to prevent overheating. There should be clearances of at least 50.8 millimeters or 2 inches above and below the drive, and clearances of at least 76.2 millimeters or 3 inches to the left and right of the drive. Only install the 1305-AA12-HA1 drive on a metallic surface. This Allen-Bradley 1305 AC drive and most other drives in this series are immune to most kinds of electrical interference that come from external sources. The 1305-AA12-HA1 drive does not need additional protective measures against electrical interference unless it is installed in an area that experiences frequent lightning strikes. In that case, it should have surge suppression devices.
