The Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley 74101-772-54 is the main control board used in Allen-Bradley 1336 FORCE adjustable frequency drives. The board is also referred to as the 1336T-MCB-SP51B board. The 74101-772-54 operates with a DC power supply. The Terminal Block (TB) labeled as Terminal Block 11 on the main control board allows the 74101-772-54 drive to be interfaced with a drive communication interface. Terminal Block 11 comprises 5 cable terminals (the V+, C_H, SHD, C_L, and the RTN V-). Terminal Block 11 accommodates the 1485-C-PI-C drive-to-drive cable which varies in length (600, 300, 150, or 50 meters). and has a 30 AWG size.

Additionally, the 74101-772-54 main control board has a dedicated port to connect the drive to base driver control signals. The board does not come with a human-machine interface module (HMI) pre-connected. If an HMI is connected, it can be used for programming, monitoring, and troubleshooting functions. Apart from using an HMI for monitoring and troubleshooting, the 74101-772-54 has onboard LED indicators (D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D43, and D47). The LEDs indicate the drive’s On or Off status (D1), Faults (D2, D3, D4, D5), drive-to-drive status (D43), and drive-to-drive power (D47). Where an HMI is not required, a blank cover plate should be used to prevent the electrical components from being exposed. To interface a standard adapter board with the 74101-772-54 main control board, a jumper (J1) is used. When connecting the adapter board, the control and signal wiring with an insulation rating of below 600 Volts must be properly routed inside the drive enclosure, avoiding uninsulated live parts and other wirings that may lead to poor drive performance. The 1336 FORCE drives operate with a 3-phase AC power supply.
