The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 motor control drive is a general-purpose adjustable frequency drive from the 1336 PLUS II motor control drive series. The drive can be used as a control device for induction motors in a variety of industrial applications. It supports process PI control, Volts per Hertz control, and sensorless vector control technology for controlling different types of induction motors. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 drive is a compact device that was designed to save valuable installation panel space and to allow additional system equipment to be installed around it easily. The drive’s compatibility with industry-standard communication protocols like the RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and DeviceNet protocols ensures quick and easy integration with a wide range of devices. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 drive operates with a normal-duty output power capacity of 40 Horsepower (30 kilowatts). It comes with a NEMA Type 1 (IP 20) type of protective enclosure that can be used safely in most non-hazardous indoor environments. The drive is suitable for both constant and variable torque induction motor control applications.

The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 1336 PLUS II series motor control drive supports dynamic braking and optional features like a common mode chokes and an EMC filter which may be purchased separately and installed by the users for specific applications. The drive has a pre-installed control interface which offers 9 digital input terminals and which can be used for interfacing different signals and commands to the drive. This control interface is a TTL contact type of control interface. Additionally, the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 drive has a pre-installed analog interface with 2 output channels and a programmer/controller HMI with a digital speed potentiometer. The 2 outputs on the analog interface are both isolated and user-configurable. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HAS2-LA3-L4 motor control drive supports phase-to-phase short circuit protection, phase-to-ground short circuit protection, overcurrent protection, external fault protection, drive over-temperature protection, and line transient protection features.
