The Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P11 digital DC drive is a DC motor controller that is capable of modifying the speed, torque, and direction of the rotation of motors in real time. It is specifically designed to operate in applications where the motors are subject to frequent starts, stops, acceleration, and sudden braking such as elevators, hoists, cranes, centrifuges, and tension unwinder applications. The Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P11 drive is able to effectively recycle regenerated voltages by diverting them back to the AC utility line. Another energy-saving option for the regenerated voltage recovered could be to feed it to a common DC bus, in order to supply it to a different inverter in the installation.

The Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P11 digital DC drive comes with a nominal Horsepower rating of 20 Horsepower and it is equipped with a C1 standard 2 to 30 Horsepower contactor. It can be fed from any power supply within the voltage range from 150 to 460 Volts AC, 3-phase. A useful feature of this drive is the pre-installed 24 Volts DC discrete adapter board in Port A of the drive’s microbus interface, where the users can connect directly to the main control board in order to remotely control the STOP, JOG, START,  and CLEAR FAULT functions of the drive. The Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P11 drive is made to withstand operating temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius (32 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit) and relative humidity values from 5 to 95%. Because the drive has an open construction, precautions should be taken to install the drive properly in a suitable room with controlled environmental conditions or in an appropriate NEMA enclosure for additional protection.
