The Allen-Bradley 1395-12378 contactor is used with the digital drives in the 1395 series. It has 3 poles, and 2 of these poles are joined together without any standard circuit between them. One of the precautions that needs to be taken is to ensure that if it is not functional, it will be replaced immediately because it is a critical part of the 1395 drives and a damaged contactor may lead to drive damage if care is not taken. It has a current rating of 57 to 110 Amps and it functions with 550 Vols DC input voltage, at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. Flexible, minimally demanding, and reliable industrial applications are the most suitable applications for the 1395-123178 contactor. Among the features that are included in the contactor kit are the DC contactor, the AC input, protective features, and contactor accelerations, all of which support in the efficient running of the 1395 digital drives.
The 1395 drives are designed in such a way that the input voltages range from 230 Volts AC to 460 Volts AC. As such, the 1395-12378 contactor is compatible with them since it is able to manage these power ratings that are within this capacity. Because it is available for regenerative and nonregenerative drives, it can easily accommodate different adapters such as the multi-communication adapters, the ControlNet adapters, and the digital reference and node adapters. Make sure to operate this part indoors with operating temperatures from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and a non-condensing relative humidity range from 5 to 95%. Finally, do not store the contactor at a temperature below 0 degrees Celsius or at one above 65 degrees Celsius. This will extend the life of the 1395-12378 contactor.
