About 151490

The 151490 snubber board with a resistor from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation is a spare part for the 1395 product line that offers outstanding DC drives that are designed for industrial applications. The 1395 product series offers digital DC drives that are for working on microprocessor technology, providing different functions and optional components. These drives are made in regenerative and non-regenerative versions with input voltage ratings from 200 to 480 Volts AC and with power ratings from 1 to 600 Horsepower. These drives feature a DC contactor, speed-related field regulation, fused AC input, speed presets, independent adjustments of acceleration and deceleration times, and protection from overcurrent/motor overload, field/feedback loss. The capabilities of standard 1395 drives can be extended with the addition of optional elements such as a discrete adapter board, a digital reference adapter board, a note adapter board, a ControlNet adapter board, and a multi-communication adapter board. The accessories that are included with such drives are line reactors and dynamic braking.

The 151490 snubber board comes with a resistor and it is mounted directly to the armature bridge bus bars. The 151490 board ensures that the SCRs are protected against voltage transients through the R-C networks. The snubber board is a component of the armature bridge which is essential for providing necessary protection from current and power-related irregularities. The snubber board is usually combined with a field pulse transformer that ensures that the gate firing pulses and switching voltage transient are protected. The other components of the armature bridge are the AC line reactor, AC current feedback, surge suppression, and SCR modules. The 1395 drive can be stored at a temperature range between 0 and 65 degrees Celsius (32 and 149 degrees Fahrenheit) and it usually operates at a maximum ambient temperature of 55 degrees Celsius (131 degrees Fahrenheit). The users should keep in mind that any corrosive atmosphere should be avoided and also that the 151490 device should operate in a clean and dry facility. The drive and its parts should not be exposed to a relative humidity lower than 5% or higher than 95% (all the humidity should be non-condensing).
