The Allen-Bradley 40430-300-52 single pole contact replacement kit is a non-motor rated contact kit for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 500L series of NEMA rated AC powered non-motor load and lighting contactors that are used for industrial non-motor load applications like resistance heating and lighting. The 40430-300-52 contact set has a single pole design with electrically held contacts that are designed to provide current switching to devices like fluorescent lamps, incandescent filament lamps, capacitors, mercury arc lamps, and to many other kinds of non-motor loads in machines, mechanical systems, and other industrial applications. The 40430-300-52 contact replacement kit has a nominal current rating of 100 Amps, it is suitable for use with a 240 Volts AC coil, and it comes with a 2 to 3-pole top wiring stationary contact base assembly which provides the terminations.
The Allen-Bradley 40430-300-52 single pole contact replacement kit comprises a movable contact with a contact support assembly, a flexible contact spring, a front stationary contact, and a rear stationary contact that are all assembled on the stationary block assembly. The installation of the 40430-300-52 contact assembly kit is done by installing the identical front and rear stationary contacts first on the mounting base, and this step is performed by using the supplied tightening screws which must have a tightening torque of 90.0 pounds on an inch for proper assembly and installation. The contact spring is placed in a scatting projection on the contact support assembly and the movable contact is rested in the center position by using the contact spring.
