The Allen-Bradley 40440-325-52 1-pole non-motor rated contact set is a contact assembly replacement part for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 500L family of the NEMA rated, lighting and non-motor AC contactors which are used for circuit protection in most non-motor rated industrial applications like lighting applications and high resistance heating applications. By design, this contact set has a single pole wiring configuration, with UL rated contacts which provide the switching action via their electrically held contacts, and the 40440-325-52 is used for providing switching to devices such as incandescent filament lamps, to fluorescent lights, to machine capacitors, and to most non-motor mechanical and industrial applications.
The Allen-Bradley 40440-325-52 1-pole non-motor rated contact set comprises a factory supplied flexible contact spring, a movable contact, identical rear stationary contacts, and front stationary contacts. The contacts are designed for use with a nominal current rating of 200 Amps, and for use with a coil voltage of 240 Volts AC. The Allen-Bradley 40440-325-52 contact set is installed on the mounting base assembly by using a movable contact support assembly and also the factory supplied base mounting screws. The Allen-Bradley 40440-325-52’s rear stationary contacts and front stationary contacts are installed on the mounting base via 2 supplied mounting screws which need to be tightened with 180.0 pounds on an inch of mounting torque. The flexible contact spring and the movable contact are both installed on the movable contact support assembly, and the movable contact is pressed against the contact spring in the center position to complete the assembly and installation processes.
