The Allen-Bradley 123172 3-pole replacement contactor kit is a contactor kit assembly for the Allen-Bradley 1395 regenerative digital DC drives and the Allen-Bradley 1395 non-regenerative digital DC drives with a wide 1 to 60 Horsepower output power range and with a 460 Volts AC maximum voltage rating. The 123172 contactor has a 3-pole w/DB design, it is installed as a standard feature to the Allen-Bradley regenerative and the non-regenerative 1395 DC drives, and it is also an integral component of the whole industrial armature bridge system. It has a nominal current rating of 56 Amps at 115 Volts AC of coil voltage, and it is suitable for use with all drives with a 1 to 60 Horsepower (HP) output rating.
The Allen-Bradley 123172 3-pole replacement contactor kit connects the armature bridge of a larger device to the DC motor’s circuit, and it provides switching to the 115 Volts AC coil voltage coming from the terminal base called the TB2 base. The 123172 contactor consists of 1 normally open contact and of 1 normally closed contact that are both pre-configured for specific control functions, and like other logic control devices, it has a direct interface to the drive’s main control board. It can also interface with the power stage interface on the main control board, and this power interface controls the coil voltage which energizes the contactor’s contacts, and it also rectifies the 115 Volts AC coil voltage to a 5 Volts DC logic signal, which is then sent to the main control board.
