The 123190 is a contactor with 3 poles that is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This is an old-style contactor that has a DB contact arrangement. On the left lower side of the device, there are 2 blocks of auxiliary contacts that can be used for normally open or normally closed signalization, depending on the wiring that the users use. The Allen-Bradley 123190 contactor has 3 main contacts used for the current conduction. This device is produced to support the 1395 and 1396 series of DC drives manufactured by Allen-Bradley. That is why this element is a spare part that is usually found in the 1395 series renewal parts list. The users can find the 123190 part denoted with the 1395-123190 part number too.
The 3-phase conductors are made of copper that must be 75 degrees Celsius rated should be connected to the terminals clearly indicated on the device. The activation of all 3 contacts is performed simultaneously by applying 115 Volts AC voltage, at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency on the A1 and A2 designated control terminals. This contactor is used to control power delivery to 60 to 75 Horsepower rated industrial automation devices, such as inverters, controllers, and motors. The Allen-Bradley 123190 has the maximum current rating of 280 Amps, and the maximum voltage connected to it should not exceed 550 Volts DC. The contacts on this device are moved by means of electromagnetic force. When the users cut the 115 Volts voltage supply to its control coil, these contacts are opened by the contact springs. It can be installed onto a DIN rail. Note that the contactor is obsolete and has not been manufactured for many years.
